With the help of the Adobe Firefly engine, Photoshop has developed a new feature called "Generative Fill". With the Generative Fill feature, users can do many things, such as delete objects, add objects, and expand images beyond the original frame with just a text prompt.
By default, the Generative Fill feature will provide three result options based on the prompt that the user inputs. With this feature, users can perform outpainting from small to large images with impressive results.

Adobe Firefly is already trained with content from the Adobe Stock service and non-copyrighted content, so everything generated from the Generative Fill feature will be safe to use commercially.

To overcome this confusion, Adobe has a solution where every image modified using Generative Fill will automatically have metadata that informs that the image is an AI creation.
Users in the beta version of Photoshop can already try this Generative Fill feature. However, Adobe plans to release it to all Creative Cloud customers starting in the second half of 2023.
